Automation is coming fast, and there are so many career opportunities coming with it! Unfortunately, not enough people have the skills needed to fill those positions. Industry Week said, “I think it is fair to say that American companies rushed to invest in automation, but did not make a similar commitment or investment in the training needed to operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all of the automation they purchased.” This is where apprenticeships come in. It’s time for corporations to get involved – set up internships and apprenticeships and market to community colleges and high schools. Even train some of your current employees who don’t have those skills yet but are willing to learn!
